Today I have a guest poster for you. Mandy from Chameleon Stampede. I guest posted on her blog a few days ago if you'd like to check it out...http://chameleonstampede.com/lisa-from-my-stunning-nails/
Here's her post...
It’s so nice to meet all of you over in Stunning Nails land! My name is Mandy and I live over at Chameleon Stampede (www.chameleonstampede.com). When Lisa asked me if I would like to do a guest post, my brain started spinning in a million different directions. I hope you like what I came up with!
I’m a sucker for stamping. It’s really my “go-to” because you can do so many different effects. Plus, I’m not the best freehand artist. Stamping is fun and always seems to turn out pretty well for me.
For this mani, I started by painting most of my nails with China Glaze Release. It’s a smoky, gray, lilac tone. It’s pretty, but not a show stopper (in my opinion) on it’s own. That’s where the accent nail comes in.
I painted my ring finger with a white base and then used Release to stamp a couple of shadowy swirls. The plate I used is from Gals Cosmetics.
On top of those shadowy swirls that matched the rest of my mani, I added swirls of China Glaze Boho Blues and Mundo de Unas stamping polish in Purple. The colors create a chic contrast and really pop against the white background. If I did all of my nails with the layered stamping, it would look a little busy. Busy is fun for sure, but sometimes I really enjoy the unexpected pop of an accent nail instead.
I hope you like what I came up with and thanks for the opportunity!
